It's really hard for me to understand why a person could be intensely spiritual, and study religion with a desire to grasp the unknowable, and not embrace the beauty of science.
I understand biology (creation) at the atomic level, to the limit of human comprehension. At some point, the study of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, it becomes the study of God. How could a scientist not reach the logical conclusion that to study the world, is to study the mind of God?
I'm not talking about "irreducible complexity", I'm talking about "infinite complexity". The more that Humanity understands Biology, the more Humanity realizes it has more to know about biology.
Conversely, but equitably, how could any religious person ignore such an intimate connection with our creator? What level of ignorance could possibly turn one from embracing the most fundamental understanding of the world we as humans have access to?
To ignore science is to ignore spirituality. To ignore spirituality is to ignore science. Dawkins/Dobson, you people are fucking crazy.
