An interesting perspective I've gleaned from discussions with friends who are also Conservatives.

I'm a Liberal, and I'm very argumentative. I have Conservative friends who also enjoy lively debate. I nearly always disagree with these individuals, it's in my nature/nurture.

What I've learned (from discussions with thoughtful Conservatives) is that we generally agree about the problems, we just have strong discord on the best ways to fix those problems.

To those I've argued with, I only argue with people I respect, even if I strongly oppose your opinions. Please keep the dialogue coming. I love the debate.
